Welcome

The ACT Fire Brigade Historical Society restores and preserves fire brigade and related items. The museum is located in the old Forrest Fire Station and is open to the general public on Saturdays.

Canberra Fire Museum Open Day

The Museum would like to thank the following for their support in making the open day a success.

First and foremost the volunteers who keep the museum running.

The ACT Fire Brigade and crews who attended.

The ACT Heritage Council and ACT Heritage Grants Scheme.

Rymac for their continuing website support.

And last but not least the public who visited and left such kind messages in the occurrence book.

We hope you enjoyed viewing our treasures as much as we enjoyed putting them on display for you. We hope to see you again.

The Canberra Fire Museum invites all those interested to

"EXTREME: Canberra Fires 2003"

A collection and exhibition of stories from firefighters in a period of extreme times. Call into the museum to read their stories and view some of the memorabilia from the day.

A collaborative project between the museum and CIT Certificate IV Museum Practice students.
